In consideration of the acceptance of my application to participate in the Adventures for Wilderness and all related events, I, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, successors and assigns, hereby, waive and forever discharge the Alberta Wilderness Association and its Directors, employees, organizers, volunteers, agents, successors, and assigns (collectively referred to as “the AWA”), of and from all claims, demands, damages, cost, expenses, action of any kind whether in law, equity, in respect of death, injury, loss, or damage to my person, or property howsoever caused, arising or to arise by reason of my participation in the said event, whether as a participant or otherwise, whether prior to, during, or subsequent to the event and notwithstanding that same may have been contributed to or occasioned by the negligence of any of the AWA. I further hereby undertake to hold and save harmless and agree to indemnify all the AWA from and against all liability incurred, by any or all of them arising as a result of, or in any way connected with, my participation in the said event.

I further forever release and indemnify the AWA from any action or claim related to exposure to COVID - 19 or any other viruses and/or diseases, including due to situations that may have been caused by the AWA's negligence.

I hereby give up my right to seek legal recourse in the event of an injury as a result of AWA's negligence or the inherent risks associated with the activity.

I further acknowledge that field trips, including the Adventure I am registered to participate in, involve inherent risks, including, but in no way limited to, risks associated with weather, natural occurrences, risks from third parties operating in the area, and risks associated with wildlife, that may cause serious injury and possibly death to participants.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By signing and submitting this WAIVER FORM, I acknowledge having read, understood and agreed to the WAIVER FORM, and I acknowledge that participation in the said event can pose physical and other risks to the participant, particularly if I am not in good physical condition. I agree to assume and I warrant that I am physically fit to participate in this event.

If the participant named below is a minor, the signature of the minor’s parent or guardian appearing in the space indicated below opposite the minor’s name signifies acceptance by said parent or guardian that the terms and conditions hereof shall be binding upon them and shall constitute a release by them of any and all claims, demands and causes of action whatsoever which they may have against the AWA as a result of participation by the undersigned in the said event.
